Customer Reviews of Oral-B Dual Clean Replacement Brush Head (3 ct.)

Customer Review: Perfect size, and nothing to complain about.
Summary: 5 Stars

To be honest, I cannot think of anything in particular I'd want or need in an improved version of this toothbrush head. I'm no dentist, so I cannot attest to its stomatological prowess...but I'm sure it does a better job than the default, smaller Oral-B Precision Brush Heads that came with my Oral-B Electric Toothbrush. This larger head seems to be the next step up, and in my opinion, it hits the sweet spot.

For me, three things really matter (in no particular order): size, price, and life expectancy.

I've seen many complain about the size being too large. Personally, I feel its size is very comparable to any normal sized toothbrush (not including travel or cheap freebie brushes). Vertically, the distance from the topmost to the bottommost bristle is exactly an inch. This is definitely a standard height. Furthermore, the width of the head never exceeds .5 inches. While it isn't difficult to find normal toothbrushes with slightly narrower heads, this is also by no means anything out of the ordinary. If anything, I'm surprised the default head that comes with most Vitality and other Oral-B Electric brands is the Precision Brush Head mentioned earlier, which (if I remember correctly) consisted of a tiny round patch of bristles.

In terms of price, as usual, you cannot beat Amazon (with the Subscribe & Save). With an average price of a touch over 4 dollars per head, it sure beats the jaw-dropping prices at Walgreens and other pharmacies (a pack of three for $30?? No thanks). Still, something in me wants to say that toothbrush heads (especially when you've already dropped >25 dollars for the body) should be somewhere between 3 and 4 dollars, at most. Well, at least they're made in Germany.

Now this is only my second round of replacements, but so far it seems the average lifespan is anywhere from 2.5 to 3 months (with total daily usage of ~5 minutes). Anymore than 3 months and you'll see noticeable fading in the bristles, and chances are the inside and other nooks/crevices will start to discolor (I've noticed a color between pink and red). The bristles are hard enough to really give you a smooth tooth finish after brushing for 2 minutes.

All in all, best electric brush heads I've used to date, and they definitely do the job.

Customer Review: This Made My Great Toothbrush Incredible
Summary: 5 Stars

When I first switched from a standard toothbrush to Braun's power rotating brush head, I was surprised at how much cleaner it made my teeth feel. Then I tried this DualAction brush head, and loved it even more in about 3 seconds. Still do. In fact, I recently ordered 5 of the 3-packs all at once because I've had trouble finding them in stores and I was afraid they would stop making them or change the design.

Now, it is true that at first it feels like you've put one of those power floor scrubbers in your mouth, in that it feels kinda big and industrial until you're used to it. But boy does it make your teeth and gums feel cleaner. And I was accustomed to the different feel by the end of my first brushing with it. If that sounds potentially troubling to you, I recommend just buying a one-pack the first time. It's not cheap, after all, but for me it's been well worth the cost. Do try it.

I should also note that when I mentioned to my dentist that I've been using this, she referred to it as a "business killer." I take that as another good sign.

Customer Review: A great addition to the Braun brush head selection
Summary: 5 Stars

I got one of these with my last Braun replacement, a 7850DLX set. At first, this veteran user of the EB17 Flexisoft head was a bit skeptical. But after a few days use, I have a new favorite.

The dual-brush head is a bit bigger than the traditional round head. The EB17 is still great for getting in tight spots, particularly the backs of the rearmost molars. But this head is great for quickie between meal cleaning, and as a bonus is pretty good at brushing off my tongue.

This fits most of the current line of Braun brushes, but check your manual to be sure. Since EB17s usually run about $5 per head in 3-, 4-, and 6-packs, finding the EB417 about the same price is a relief. You really DO want to replace heads every few months, after the outer blue bristles fade half-way down.

Customer Review: More bristles, more buzzzzzz.
Summary: 5 Stars

One of these brush heads came with my Oral B 980TX power toothbrush. I liked it so much more than the regular FlexiSoft head that I immediately ordered the 3-pack.

The extra bristles with their side-to-side oscillation add more oomph to the Oral B's tingle-inducing cleaning action. I can feel it all the way to the base of each tooth. When I rinse, I see more loosened debris swirling down the drain. I finish my morning brushing with a hydrogen peroxide rinse, and, man oh man, does it get foamy, an indication of freshly cleaned dental and gum surfaces.

The price is already a bargain but with additional available discounts like Free Super Saver Shipping, it's a steal.

Customer Review: Great product!
Summary: 5 Stars

The Oral-B Dual Clean brushes are great. They double the surface area being brushed over the standard brush (just a rotating round brush)and all at no perceived power loss.

I've been using them for around 2 years now and they've never let me down. I have had a few which the bottom brush stopped moving but by that point the bristles were already worn out and it was time for a replacement anyway.

This head is a little larger than a conventional toothbrush but not so much as to become uncomfortable.
This is a great brush for an excellent rechargeable toothbrush(my Braun/Oral-B 3-D action toothbrushes are both 5-8yrs old and still work great.
