I've very protective of my teeth and take very good care of them. Yet after going to the dentist twice a year, brushing, flossing, using mouth wash, etc...I was always searching for a cleaner feel. This Braun electric toothbrush is the answer I've been looking for. This is my 1st electric toothbrush, and after the great reviews I've read on Amazon.com, I decided to give it a try. It so easy and convienient to use and it makes my mouth feel clean all day long. It's cheesy to say, but it feels like it does after the dentist cleaning! After reviewing several electric toothbrushes, I decided on the Oral-B 7400. I didn't realize at the time that there is only one cleaning mode but that turned out to be okay. I thought I might need a sensitive mode in order to not hurt my gums. Instead, I ordered softer brush refills which solved the problem. I drink tea which stains my teeth. I tried baking soda to remove the stain but that didn't help. After using this brush for a few weeks, the stains were gone. Like others have said in their reviews, my dental hygienist noticed an improvement in my teeth. I'm very happy with this brush and have bought two more for my daughters.Customer Review: Man 74 finally wakes up and gets THE electric toothbrush.

I'm 74 and did NOT think it necessary to get an electric toothbrush. I kept telling myself that I could do just as good a job manually. Well, guess what? I could not and cannot. After visiting my dentist and told that I was not doing a good job brushing behind my capped front teeth and unless I started doing a better job, I could lose them. Guess what? I ordered an Oral-B Professional Care 1000 Power Toothbrush from Amazon on my I-Phone before getting home to order on my desk top computer. I am totally satisfied with my Oral-B Toothbrush. (And so is my dentist).

Customer Review: Shorter dentist visit

Had an Oral B of some sort before this one. It was getting kinda nasty due to the fact that I didn't rinse the body off well after brushing. Ordered this one as a replacement. Been using the 2nd style heads (the ones with the extra scrubber part making it more like a normal toothbrush size) and apparently they've been doing thier job.
Getting teeth cleaned at dentist took half the time it used too. Dental hygenist asked what I was doing different and I said nothing.
Only after leaving did I remember I had picked up one of these.
Save 10-15 min of dentist torture....you decide if it's worth it.

This is a nice easy to use toothbrush. Lots of power and holds a charge pretty good. Best way to use is to let the battery drain down before recharging. After maybe five days of use, twice a day, you can feel the battery will need to be recharged for maximum power. I like the fact that it only has a two-minute timer and will NOT turn off after two minutes. I don't need a toothbrush with too many bells and whistles. Only annoying thing for some would be the blue recharge indicator light that stays on while charging. I use like a night light for those middle of the night bathroom excursions. No more being blinded by turning on the light!
