Customer Review: Improvement over my previous Braun unit

I had a Braun toothbrush ~ 10+ years old. A similar model a 3D Professional. Worked great - water started to leak past the seals and became intermittent. Pretty good life - considering used heavily.
New one is better in almost all respects. Much less vibration, while cleaning better. battery gauge.
Would rather have a white handle with less mouldings (easier to keep clean).
Overall, pretty happy and seems like a step up.
P&G brands this as Oral-B which are the heads - but the reason I bought this was Braun quality for bottom part and Made in Germany - not Mexico or China.

We bought this model three years ago for my wife after she had a painful and expensive root canal. At first she had to use the low speed setting, but in a couple of weeks she could use the normal setting. This brush can be used to clean your entire mouth, including the tongue. You can brush using just saline water (a spoonful of salt to a glass of water), no toothpaste is required. Any way, it is recommended to use as little toothpaste as possible when you brush, so the small brush head is not a concern. It is in fact good, because it allows you to reach the back of your molars. The brush does a great job of cleaning.Customer Review: Great Toothbrush

This toothbrush is awesome. I've had it for 1 1/2 years not and it's still going strong. I got this after having a Rotodent my dentist recommended. I got tired of paying $25 ea. for replacement brushes so I decided to try this. It does an awesome job and has a great two minute timer; which is the amount of time recommended for tooth brushing. My only issue - which I've seen no one else discuss - is how the post gets yucky unless you completely dry the toothbrush with a towel after each use. Maybe it only happens to me?? Anyway, the refills are affordable and it does a fabulous job - nuf' said.Customer Review: Buy this Today!

The Oral B 3D is one of the best products on the market if your teeth matter to you. I have been using the Oral B for almost a year now, and my dentist has told me that he can see a marked difference in the condition and health of my gums and teeth! Since gum problems run in my family, this is a big deal. For those of us who have always been a bit lazy about brushing, the Oral B's timer tells you when you've brushed enough; the multi-directional pulsations leave your teeth feeling really clean - like you just came from the dentist! I had an older Oral B electric toothbrush that died on me, so this was the replacement I got. It did take a little while to get used to (especially if you have sensitive teeth). However, I love the little buzz it gives off every 30 seconds for a total of 2 minutes. That way you know you brushing each quadrant properly. I also like that it gives you a signal if you are brushing too hard. Overall, a great product for the price. I originally found it at Target, but then I searched Amazon and found it for $16.99 cheaper (that included the shipping fee) and I didn't have to pay sales tax!
