Customer Reviews of Oral-B Triumph 9900 Toothbrush with Smart GuideCustomer Review: Don't be fooled by the cool factor. Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this toothbrush when my Sonicare began winding down after 6 years. I read somewhere on a review that it was better for sensitive teeth, so I bought this one instead of another Sonicare. Not one week after using this brush, I began to hate to brush my teeth. My gums would bleed and the brush heads were tearing my mouth apart. I then didn't feel like my mouth was clean enough. I even ordered the sensitive brush heads, but it didn't work. I began using my Sonicare again while I'm waiting for my new Sonicare to come in the mail. So, I wasted $150 on this toothbrush and got nothing except torn, swollen gums.
Customer Review: great when if it works Summary: 1 Stars
When it works it works great, but it never works.... We used this for 6 months at out Dentists recommendation. It worked great and even the dentist commented that my teeth were cleaner, but.... after 6 or 7 months the brush died. We sent it in for repair and 7 weeks later it was returned, but it still didn't work. I am back to the brush. Save your money and buy something else. The Oral B customer service was miserable.
Customer Review: Not much better than a manual toothbrush Summary: 1 Stars
I have used Sonicare brushes for many years and decided to try the Oral B. It was a big mistake. The mechanical action of the Oral B is so slow compared to Sonicare it is like using a manual toothbrush. The wireless monitor is useless unless you want a digital clock on your counter. After a month I ordered another Sonicare and couldn't be happier. If you are thinking of purchasing an electric toothbrush, look elswhere.
Customer Review: Battery dead after a year Summary: 1 Stars
This toothbrush was recommended to me by a dentist, and it did help my teeth a whole lot. At least for a while.
For a $170 toothbrush this thing sure didn't last long. As others have said, after about one year mine stopped recharging. I figured you could just buy a replacement battery, right? Nope, the battery is not replaceable--unless you know how to use a soldering iron. :\
Customer Review: Worthless Summary: 1 Stars
There is nothing good I can say about this toothbrush. The battery died quickly. The brush itself was very uncomfortable and provided no exceptional cleaning ability. I replaced this loser with a Waterpik which is working diligently. Oh, and the Oral B Smart Guide? It has an IQ the same as my shoe size.
