I got to try one of these buckwheat hull pillows on a recent trip to Japan and promised to get one for myself when I returned to the States. I've been using this pillow for almost a month now and so far it's been great. I chose the basic shipping option and the pillow arrived very quickly. My first impressions of the pillow were that it was constructed very well and very heavy(as other reviewers noted). The queen size pillow was larger than I expected, but it does fit in a regular queen sized pillow case as described. The pillow does a good job of conforming to your neck and does keep cool. Before using this pillow I'd find myself going through several different sleeping positions throughout the night. Now, with this pillow, I tend to wake up in the same position as when I went to sleep.Customer Review: Give it time...

This pillow takes a little getting used to. At first I thought that maybe I should return it but it's been about 3 weeks since I've purchased it...the pillow has broken in rather nicely and I must say that I fall asleep much quicker using this buckwheat pillow versus the memory foam pillow I had been using. I have two herniated discs in my neck so I'm always open to try new products that may improve my sleep quality and align my neck and spine while I sleep. I puchased the queen size pillow for my husband. He has used this type pillow for years, but he has never had a large size. He loves this buckwheat pillow. This was a good value for this large size.
The only problem we have is the stiff sizing in the buckwheat hull cover. I purchased a pillow cover also. I plan on empting the hulls and washing the cover soon.

Love the pillow which is the best thing for my side sleeping pattern. The only thing is, I had to remove some of the buckwheat because I needed to lower the size a little. The opening needs to be bigger because when I come back to put them in after a few years of use of the original, it will be very slow and some difficult.Customer Review: The buckwheat is great

I bought this pillow thinking that it would be a firm yet thick pillow. It is for the most part but the case the buckwheat is in is too stiff making it seem like I was sleeping on a bag of Rice Krispies. I put the buckwheat into another pillow that was padded and it is alot better.
