I doubted whether I would be able to tell a difference between these liquid vitamins and the high-quality tablets I'd taken for years, but I do think the liquid vitamins are being absorbed better. They contain lower amounts of some vitamins than the tablets, but, as another reviewer said, I can tell that my energy is lower on days when I forget to take them. I hadn't ever observed that with the tablets.
I don't mind the taste. In the beginning, I took it with some juice, but now I don't.
As far as what's excluded from this formulation, I bought this specifically because it does NOT contain calcium or iron. I take thyroid medication in the morning, and, while there's disagreement as to whether calcium does interfere with it, I like to take my calcium separately later in the day. Like everyone, I love the convenience of more packed into less, but sometimes it can't work that way. Also, my body tends to store too much iron, so I don't want any iron supplementation.
