This clipper is everything that it promises to be and more. I have been using them now about 4 months. Normally my wife is the hair cutter. Her grip isn't as big as mine and has no problem with the weight or holding on to it. It is powerful and cuts clean. It comes with two different blades and they are really easy to interchange.
At the same time I purchase the Oster comb attachments for different styles and lengths. They work like a well matched piece of equiment and recommend those over the generic brand. They are a little more but its your hair and its worth it.
You can even cut your own hair with the tried and trued Classic 76 if no one around to cut it for you. Its really pretty easy. Just make sure you use the attachment combs. It is almost fool proof system (see next paragraph, if the shoe fits I wear it sometimes).
The one thing to watch for, as in my case, if cutting your own hair, after just finishing cutting my hair myself, my wife walks in and of course notices a mohawk line of hair right down the middle of the back of my head I missed. Thank goodness for wives!
Highly recommend. Spend the money! These clippers will last you a life time and pay you back over and over.

These clippers are probably the best clippers ever made. The casing is thick and sturdy and the cutting power is phenominal. The motor runs smoothly and, while it does get hot evetually, it takes a while for it to heat up. Although it is a bit heavy, so is a Rolls Royce when compared to other cars. This is the same clipper my barber used when I was in high school and college and I can now get the same results. He never used comb attachments, therefore, invest in more blades if you want to decrease the cut or invest in another set of clippers if you need an huge guard for your hair. The only thing though is that if you search throughly on Amazon you will find that some merchants price is lower than Amazon's, even including shipping and handling. My husband likes to wear his hair in a "buzz" cut, just like those given to new military recruits. For several years, I cut his hair with a "Vidal Sassoon" clipper purchased at Wal-Mart. I hated it. Not only was it so loud that we both had to wear ear plugs, it didn't cut well, pulling his hair and leaving sprigs and gaps behind. It sometimes took up to an hour to finish cutting his hair, and even then I had to cut stragglers with scissors. This Oster clipper, which I believe is used by military barbers, is a marvel. It zips through my husband's hair like the proverbial hot knife through butter. We're all done in little more than 5 minutes. It has some heft to it, but it cuts so quickly that the weight is not a problem. And it's much less noisy. No more ear plugs required :) It cost about twice what we paid for the Sassoon clipper, but it's well worth it.Customer Review: Best Clippers Ever

I normally don't comment on my purchases but I was so impressed by these clippers I'm making an exception. I have been shaving my head for over 20 years and in that time I've gone through many clippers some cheap some not so cheap and these clipper blow everyone one of them away. Normally it would take me 30 to 40 minutes to cut my hair and beard then shave the remaining stubble but with these clippers I was done in 10 minutes. They are so pleasant to use no pulled hairs, no going over the same area many times and the best thing no loud buzzing motor just a nice gental hum. It was a little bit hard to swallow the price tag but after using them I would have paid even more there just that good. The build quality is excellent you can really feel that these will last a very long time.Customer Review: Now THAT's what I call a clipper!!!

Now THAT's what I call a clipper, baby...
... and to think how long I've been getting by with the cheapy Walmart/ happy homeowner clipper brands.
Positives:
- clean, fast, great cut and operation across the board. It brings two blade types - easily interchanged in seconds
- you can feel the solidity and quality
- supple, long cord
- reminiscent of haircuts as a kid in the town's corner barber shop [ where's the Archie comics? ]
Negatives: [ minor ]
- the weight is noticable [ compared to homeowner brands ] but not objectionable
- slight smell of electric motor/oil
- klunky shape/style - could use a modern-styled redesign
