These clippers beat most riteaid, walmart, walgreens clippers as far as cutting and quality goes. They cut thru anything, they don't really heat up, they are heavy and strong. But - u do have to oil the blades regularly esp if u have thick hair. They are louder than most clippers i have used - the steel blades rub very close together and make a kind of high pitch sound. Otherwise they will probably last me until i die.Customer Review: best i bought

This clipper is not quiet at all it is actually quite loud. Sounds like a coffee grinder. It is louder than my Conair clipper. I was hoping to get a quiet one to cut my kids hair so they would not be afraid of it but now I'm stuck with it cause my kids tore the box. If I could do it over I would probably go to my local Sally's and have them turn it on to see how loud it is. It it does cut more evenly than my Conair so I don't feel as bad being stuck with it.Customer Review: Noisy Trimmer

When i got the set i was happy to see that the set was made in USA, but i was dissapointed after my first use small trimmer is to loud!!! They cut as it is described but would not recommend it.
