Customer Reviews of Pampers Swaddlers Dry Max Diapers, Size 2-3 152 CountCustomer Review: Works great for me and my baby Summary: 5 Stars
I've read the great reviews and the bad reviews of this product and was very hesitant to use them since so many people seemed to have problems with rashes, leakage and a strong chemical smell. While my daughter was in NICU, the hospital used Pampers, so I went ahead and purchased some for home use. I haven't had any problems at all. My daughter is an extreme wiggler, and she hasn't had a leak at all. There is a wetness indicator on the smaller sized diapers (a strip down the front that changes from yellow to green) and this works pretty well to let me know just how wet the diaper is without having to get her all undressed. She hasn't had a single rash and I change her approx every 3-4 hours, depending on her sleep/feed routine that day. I don't even have to use rash ointment. I didn't notice any smell to the diapers, either, and I'm very sensitive to strong-smelling things. I'm not sure if these have been altered since they were first brought out, but I think that they're great diapers and a great price with the Amazon subscription discount. I've used Luvs, Huggies and Target Up&Up diapers, and although the other brands were fine, Pampers are the best for me.
EDIT:
My daughter is now in size 1-2 and with these I have noticed the smell others talked about. But it's only really strong when you first open the package, after that it isn't bad at all. I still love this brand and she's still happy in them.

My new grand daughter Lacey, born March 5th, says these are the only diapers she will use. The Swaddlers are super absorbant and keep her skin dry. With the wetness indicator, grandpa doesn't have any trouble figuring out if she needs changing. Lacey also loves the way the Swaddlers countour to her shape. They really compliment the new outfits she wears without giving her that "baggy bottom" look.
The Pampers people have not missed a single detail with this product. The elastic leg bands are snug, preventing leaks, but not too tight so they are still comfortable. The protective inner-layer prevents wetness from contacting Lacey's skin. Even the tape comes off easily, not tearing the plastic like some other brands. These are the only diapers we will ever use.
*** I based this review on the original Swaddlers and did not know until after I had posted this that Pampers had changed the formula. Lacey is just now at 12lbs and has not yet began using this new formula, so I will reserve further comments until a later date.

Sure, kids are cute, especially babies, but man they can be messy. One thing a diaper cannot do is LEAK. The other thing it cannot do is irritate the skin of a child after they have gone potty. We just finished a box of these diapers on our baby and we love them. We have always been a fan of pampers, even with its higher price point in store, and we really like these Swaddlers.
Often diapers we buy do not fit the body of a baby well, but these do. There is no tendency for the sticky straps to tear off when they squeeze their legs towards their chest and come undone (seasoned parents will know exactly what I am talking about).
These swaddlers are very absorbent almost to the point of working too well. Our 3 month old is a chubby little guy, and usually cries when he needs a diaper change, but sometimes doesn't even feel it when he is wet in these until he is REALLY wet.
I highly recommend these diapers over cheaper brands if you want to avoid the extra mess the less expensive diapers can leave you in.
Customer Review: Super dry and super soft! Summary: 5 Stars

We typically use cloth diapers with our daughter. We buy disposables for trips and things like that, but usually she gets a rash from something or other in the diapers if we use the disposables for more than 24 hours. We have been using these for 3 days straight and there is not a trace of redness on the child! I have to keep taking the diaper off to see if she is even wet - there is no sag or bulge! The diaper doesn't even get that "squishy" feeling I have encountered with Luvs and Huggies. I thought the dry weave stuff might be scratchy against her skin, but so far, no sign of irritation. Another thing I really like - the whole diaper is super soft. They look like the newborn diapers do. The other problem we had with disposables was that her legs would always chafe from the rough plastic feeling of the diaper. These are more like facial tissue texture, which is a welcome change. I am very impressed and will continue to purchase these when we need a break from our cloth diapers. These diapers rock!

There has been a lot of bad publicity online it seems for the new Dry Max.
There is talk that it gives some babies a very bad diaper rash. Before Dry Max came out I used only Pampers.
Once I learned about all these problems I was scared to try new Dry Max on my 4 months old. So, I went on the hunt for a new favorite diaper. I was optimistic that I would find another brand that would fit my needs. I can honestly say that I have tried them all. Huggies (even Huggies Pure), Luvs, Target, Seventh Generation and the list goes on.
But there was nothing I was satisfied with as much as my Swaddlers. Needless to say, I returned to Swaddlers.
My baby did not have any rash. On the contrary, my daughter had more diaper rash with Huggies when I tried them than with new Swaddlers. Also, the diapers are indeed drier, thinner than the any other brand I tried. All other diapers seem to have a lot of that gel in them that makes them expand uncontrollably when are wet and become enormous leaving no space for other fluids to go but OUT of the diaper. I had a lot of blowouts with other brands. I never had that with Pampers. To me that is a very BIG plus. I am sticking with Pampers.
