Customer Review: Does the job, I even think it is better than the older model

I bought a Panasonic personal trimmer that looked just like this back in 2003. It served me well until it died a few weeks ago. This newer model seems to be made a little bit better, the motor seems better, and it does what it is supposed to do.
My older unit didn't have the rubberized grip, the cap used to fall off, and I thought the motor was weak.
With this newer ER415SC, I like the rubberized grip, the cap stays on tight, and the motor is strong enough that it cuts the hair and doesn't pull it out. I just finished using it and the process was quick and the results look good. Some reviewers are saying that Panasonic re-designed the blades and that the re-design prevented them from cutting closer. I just used this and I think it cuts close enough.
I paid eight bucks for this and I think that's a great deal. I can't give anything less than five stars for now considering this product has met my expectations and I don't know what else I would change. I didn't buy the other Panasonic models because some of the extra features seemed "gimmicky" -like the light and the vacuum.
I was told that these micro trimmers tend to die after a few years, I will update this review if this unit loses it's effectiveness or if it encounters any other issues. For now, if you need a personal trimmer, I highly recommend this one.

Remove unwanted hair from nostrils and ears safely, quickly, and easily with the ER415SC Personal Groomer. All Panasonic Groomers are designed with a safety cone, which wraps around the blades to prevent them from coming in contact with the skin. The blades themselves are made from hypoallergenic stainless steel so they will hold their shape and resist rust. A non-slip grip wraps around the groomer so it is easy to hold and maneuver. The groomer features a rotary blade system that uses a circular blade action for efficient hair trimming. The groomer is small and easy to handle, so you can get close along the inside of your nose or ear wall for a neat trim. A safety cone guides hair into the blades and prevents the blade itself from coming in contact with your skin, protecting it from cuts or injury.
The blades feature stainless steel construction for long-lasting sharpness, and it has a curved, hypoallergenic design that leaves your hair trimmed to the perfect length to allow for natural filtering.
Immersible in Water for Easy Cleaning
The ER415SC is fully immersible in water, making it easy to clean: simply rinse the groomer under running water and you're all set to go. You can also bring the groomer into the shower with you if you choose.
