This shaver does an amazing job, I would highly recommend it. For the last 10 years I have used a philips 3 head rotary shaver and this shaver is so much better. I actual look forward to shaving in the morning now, the experience is that good. The closeness of shave that I get with this shaver is just as good as a razor, if not better. The thing I like most is that can be used as a wet shaver with cream in the shower. The only negative I would give it is that when it is plugged into the wall charging you can not shave, however the charge time is really quick, 1 hour.
If you are looking for a new shaver you will not be disappointed with this one, highly recommended!

I wanted to try a different shaver after the Braun top of the line started costing more money than I expected or wanted. I went with the Panasonic ES-LA93_k because of some reviews that I had read. This is an amazing shaver and meets or exceeds the capability of the Braun that I previously owned. It shaves close, very close and is effortless to use. It's trimmer is easy to use and sharp. The cleaning process is also flawless and will not bankrupt you. I have been using it for a month and it is everything it says it is... and I found it on Amazon at a great price. Highly recommend it and expect to be a Panasonic convert after this experience....

Me...
-Heavy thick beard--60 grit sandpaper like.
-Need to shave every day
-Had zero confidence in electric shavers--tried them and they did not do the job for my beard
ES-LA93K...
-Outstanding shave results..blade shave is marginally,and I truly mean marginally closer--considering the cuts you get with a blade it is not worth it
-Great feel, well constructed and excellent clean/dry cycle
-I am now shaving every day, including weekends (which I used to take off to give my face a break when using a blade)
Things to consider...
-Use it for 30 at least days--you will be hooked.

Works great in the shower with a little bit of shaving cream. Had a little bit of neck irritation after first use, but I was aware of this and didn't use too much force when shaving my neck. I figure the best way to shave my neck is to find out which way the grains are going and go against them with slow, multiple passes.
I haven't used to self-cleaning system yet, I just remove the foil and rinse it out. Still on my first charge after about 8 shaves.
Update:
One month later on second charge and it's working great. No more irritation on the neck, plus a smooth shave all around going against the grain.
