I discovered Panasonic razors a few years ago after decades of frustration with shavers from Remington, Braun and Philips.
In my experience Panasonics shave closer, more comfortably and faster than any of the other brands. And they last for ever.
So in preparation for a two month overseas trip I bought the ES3833S and was not disappointed. It is classic Panasonic - the closeness, comfort and speed are all there. And one set of batteries gave me daily shaves for the whole 65 days I was away. It's good enough to be your daily razor.
The ES3833S comes with a light but strong, padded case so no issues putting it in your checked baggage. The wide trimmer takes care of the sideburns. And all for around $20.
Highly recommended.
Note: Shaving tip
The Panasonic razor gives a fine dry shave; better than any other brand I've tried. If you have just a little more time, however, and want a shave that's almost indistinguishable from a wet razor try the following:
Shower .... apply a thin film of your favorite shaving foam/gel to your beard .... shave with the Panasonic .... go get a quality check from your beloved. If she doesn't drag you off and have her way with you it must be your deodorant.

The ES3833S shaver uses a single-blade, fine-cut shaving head. The blade is set at a 78-degree angle and has a motor speed of 8500 RPM, so you can achieve a smooth look and feel. It features a floating head that adjusts to the contours of your face. The blade is nickel-free and hypoallergenic, and the foil is stainless steel, so it won't irritate those with sensitive skin. The blade is durable and maintains its sharpness, so you get an effective shave every time.
