I have been using double and triple edge blades my entire adult life for 20+ years and would normally get a pretty good shave.
The price of replacement standard double or triple blade cartridges has really seemed to go up in price the last couple of years.
I have tried other older style cordless shavers and they did not shave as close as standard blade shavers.
I read a bunch of positive reviews about the Panasonic E8077S so I thought I too would give it a try.
Wow this is one amazing razor, it actually shaves closer than a standard blade shaver.
It took my beard several weeks to adjust to using a cordless shaver and the Panasonic documentation indicates it can take up to 30 days to adjust to this new razor and they were correct.
I have gone several weeks without placing the unit back in the charger and it still had plenty of battery life left in it.
The self cleaning feature is really a great plus and I find that if you keep the unit clean it provides the same level of close shave day after day.
This shaver is worth the money and I am glad I do not have to keep purchasing those expensive standard blades.

I have coarse beard and the hair grows in circles that being said. This machine does its purpose thou I still have to use a regular shaver to finish things of. I used the machine in the shower twice it works fine but because of my beard I have to use all kinds of lotions so I can shave so I don't use the shower at all. The good thing is that it still works with all the shave products I have to use on my face. The machine is also very easy to clean you have two option you can pop the head open with a click of a button and run it under warm water or you can use the hydra clean system.
this machine comes with a disclaimer stating "that it takes a while for your face to get use to the machine." So don't give up on it when you first get it. I know I had some problems simply because of what I stated before about my beard. I've had it for 2 months now and my face is getting use to it before my skin would get very irritated!

my main priority in shaving is to have a very smooth and close shave. this shaver has exceeded my expectations in how close of a shave i get. i can now shave every 2 days w/o any irritation to get a close shave and not walk around with stubble. i was not able to shace this often with a razor, since the facial hair would not be long enought to cut smoothly. i am very happy.Customer Review: This one is different...

I was using wet shavers for a long time because dry shavers did not really do a good job and my skin didn't like it either. This one is different, it handles my thin beard hair better and the dry/wet capability helps my skin, too. The cleaning is awsome! I love it. Worth every penny!
