Customer Reviews of Panasonic EW1270AC Portable Oral IrrigatorCustomer Review: Not much power... Summary: 3 StarsNot much power, but it does the job. Tip seems to be a flimsy. Used it for 18 day trip to China with wife on one set of batteries.
Customer Review: Mind you... Summary: 5 StarsLove this product as a portable with the proviso that it is just that, portable with limited power but in a pinch and for travel it is a great second to my HydroFloss which I would replace the minute it failed. The Panasonic allows me to travel abroad with something guaranteed to get the food out between my braces. Mind you, I am an adult with braces who does a lot of public speaking attending a lot of business meetings so I cannot afford to go with hairy teeth from a salad or spinach dish. You all know what I mean. My periodontist loves the combined effect of my travel Panasonic and my HydroFloss.
Customer Review: This is the second irrigator like this that I've bought. Summary: 5 StarsThis is the second irrigator like this that I've bought. My teen with braces needed the one my husband and I had been using for the last year. I really missed it- my gums did, too, so I ordered another one. It works great. I never floss and still get great checkups from my hygienist.
Customer Review: Prior to obtaining this product I had used a similar device made by Waterpik. Summary: 4 StarsPrior to obtaining this product I had used a similar device made by Waterpik. That one paled in comparison to Panasonic's product. With the use of some rechargeable batteries this irrigator lasted me for many weeks before needing a recharge. My only complaint is that it has no speed modulation and it is almost too powerful. It certainly gets the job done though.
Customer Review: Overall... Summary: 1 StarsI purchased this product for my son who wears braces. I bought it instead of a Waterpik product, because it received better quality reviews. The first time he used it, he was impressed, but after only two uses the batteries had been drained to the point that it only produced a mediocre jet of water. His other complaint is that it requires at least 5-6 refills of water or mouthwash to do a thorough job of cleaning his teeth. After using it for a week, and changing batteries twice to keep the jet at maximum flow, he has gone back to flossing.
Overall, we are horribly disappointed with the Panasonic EW1270AC and consider it a complete waste of money.
