I love this Panasonic Oral Irrigator!! It's light, handy and powerful! I purchased a rechargable waterpik 6 months ago and it's already giving me problems. The off/on switch works only part of the time. I assume that has something to do with the rechargable battery being defective but am not sure.
Anyway, this unit is more powerful and definitely more dependable! I will use it all the time and trash the other one. It's handy for travel also. Highly recommend!!

I am very happy with this unit. Last about a month on 2 AA batteries and compact enough to travel anywhere. Powerful and effective. My dentist thought he saw an improvement when I mentioned that I started using it.
There are downsides. One, the small size means you have to refill a few times per session. Two, as it drains, the partial vacuum sometimes pulls the tank up into the main unit. Just a bit uncomfortable, but doesn't cause any problems in functioning so I still give it a "5".

I have dental implants and my gums became inflamed probably because food got in between my gums and the implants. It hurt so badly to floss. I ordered the 1270 and after using it the first time it literally washed the bacteria away. My gums bled at first but I just kept refilling the resevoir and it was like majic. My gums are no longer sore or bleeding and are completely healthy again. It is a little inconvienent to refill after what seems like 10 seconds but it is so worth it. This product is easy to use and really portable. It really helped me out in a surprising way recently. I was traveling with my cat and found that in the morning, she had decided to embed herself in the mattress springs under the motel bed in an effort to avoid being put into her carrier to leave the motel with me. After many unsuccessful attempts to coerce her out of there, I pulled out my oral irrigator, aimed it under the bed and out she came in a jiffy! I formerly had the Waterpik WP-360W which stopped working after the first day on vacation. I then bought the Panasonic EW1270 as a replacement based on the reviews I saw here. After finally having the chance use it, I can say it worked like a champ during my two week vacation. It takes a couple of tank fills for each use, but even so, after two weeks the lithium batteries were still good. The stream is strong, and although not adjustable, I would still very highly recommend this product.
