Customer Reviews of Panasonic EW3109W Portable Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitorm White/GreyCustomer Review: Not accurate Summary: 2 Stars
The unit was convenient to use, but I took it to my doctor's office two separate times to test it against their standard mercury-based units and it flunked both times by being outside the acceptable range of differences in the readings.
Customer Review: Beware Summary: 1 Stars
This unit (EW3109W) does not come with an AC adapter! Yes, it's quiet and seems relatively accurate. But what a waste of batteries to use this device at home with batteries. The AC adapter (EW31095K) is currently listed as unavailable at Amazon and the unit that includes it (EW31095ACW) is twice the price. If you buy the EW3109W, know ahead of time you'll need to get the AC adapter somewhere else for $13+. If you don't want to have to use batteries, you'll have to pay twice as much at Amazon to get the ACW unit.
Customer Review: Monitor with a Flaw Summary: 1 Stars
I purchased this monitor several years ago.
I have a heart problem and take medication twice a day to keep the Systolic (upper) reading between 90 and 95 mmHg. I thereby measure my blood pressure twice a day. I am very careful to hold the Systolic pressure above 89 to prevent vertigo. This monitor does not take reliable readings below 100 mmHg readings. I can not use this monitor.
Customer Review: Unreliable Summary: 1 Stars
I am sorry I purchased this device. It is very unreliable. It said my blood pressure was 154/100. I then took it again right away and it said 123/78, then I took it again 2 minutes later and it says 138/89. I can understand it being a few points off, but this is extreme.
