I purchased this fountain, to help recover from back surgery. I am very thankful for this little device. It has helped with moisture in the air, and kept my bedroom from smelling like a hospital. I really was able to use this to help with me to relax, which I believe, has helped me use less pain meds, and I have recovered very well.
I now use this mister just about every day. I fill it with water, put a couple of drops of scented oil, that I bought at the same time from Amazon, plug it in, and turn it on. When it runs out of water it automatically turns off, so I don't worry about it overnight. I would recommend this mister to anyone who wants to sleep better, or if you just want to use it as a night light the light show is very relaxing.

I saw this in Bath and body works before the holidays and it was $22.00 which was a good price but didnt want to spend any more money at the time and figured id wait till after the holidays and see if it would be on sale and I was right! It was half off for $11.25. I bought two because I had a coupon for 10 dollars off if I spent 30. I figured I would sell the other online or give it away as a gift but after setting up the 1st one and it diffusing the oil so well along with the pretty colors that changed I decided to keep both! I love love love it! It really doesnt make much noise just a soft buzzing sound. I wouldnt say its as loud as a cd rom running as one reviewer stated. I have had one for about 3 years; use it frequently with no problems. Decided I wanted two more, using one in the bedroom, one in the kitchen, and one in the bath area. I have always used distilled water, but the last two purchased didn't like it at first. Filled them with tap water and away they went!! I oouldn't ask for anything more. Gives off wonderful light scents for hours at a time. I just bought my last two at GNC for $14.95. They make a wonderful gift. I really don't understand the reviews that say they are noisy. I didn't buy it for humidifying a room. Don't hesitate. Getting one for my daughter for her birthday now. I feel my house smells so fresh. I use thereputic grade oils, if that matters to anyone. They are more likely to react with the plastic and rubber parts of this item, so it's important to rinse it out after you're done. The marker for "max fill" dissapeared after the first use.. I thought that was funny. But it's not an expensive item, so I am impressed with the quality I got for what I paid. It has a very quiet, soothing hum to it. My 2 year old loves to run up to it and "drink" the mist, and the baby LOVES the bright colors.
It doesn't put out a ton of scent, but it diffuses enough oil to help with a cold or allergies. It's going to do just fine for what I bought it for- to get me through until I can afford an ionic diffuser.

This is a great product if you know what you're getting. The biggest problems people seem to have with this unit relvove around their expectations about what this mister will do. Keep in mind: It is small (as another reviewer mentioned, its the size of a jar of pickles). It only holds a cup of water (enough for only a couple of hours). It cannot humidify large spaces well. Adding too much water will prevent the unit from functioning properly. The fill level indicator will wear away if certain essential oils are used, so make note of the level before it does! Other than these important issues, regular cleaning will ensure the auto-off feature does not malfunction (which would render the unit useless).
