I was on everythig from steriods to Accutane which were all given by my dermotologist. I tried EVERYTHIG. Then, I'd found an old tube of this stuff which was a sample from my mother's dermotologist from many years ago. I tried it, it worked! I've been using it for 15 years now, RELIGIOUSLY. Whether you have dry, acne/oily or normal skin and want to exfoliate, this by far is the best product on the market.
I even used it on my fiance's hands. He has exzema and contact-dermatitis. Nothing worked because he could not get through the rough, thick skin on his hands. I used a little Pernox on the ares and it exfoliated it just perfectly, so then he could use his medication, so he finally cleared-up after three years of misery!
Yes, this product does it's job: If you are OILY, you will now be normal to even dry. It works well on dry skin too, s you can FINALY exfoliate just as well as a treatment at the dermotologist or cosmetic spa.
It is very strong, you only need a tad. I use a dime-sized amount, twice a day which is the recommended use. This product helps other skin care products work properly, as if your skin is exfoliated, then the products you use will be able to get right to the skin. It's great for just before a facial or mask, woderful right before make-up; helps it go on smoothly.
It clears acne better than any other product I have ever tried in the last 15 years to the present! I cannot and would not live without my Pernox! I hope they never stop making it. A great bonus is the way it contains the acids from the natural lemon which work far more safely and even better than another of it's ingrediants which is salicylic acid.

Pernox gently peels and helps remove excess oil. For the treatment of acne, blemishes and excessively oily skin. Pernox uses the three most highly recommended acne treatments in one: gentle exfoliation to remove dead skin cells and impurities; salicylic acid to unclog and clear pores; and sulfur to kill acne causing bacteria. Pernox has been doctor and dermatologist tested and recommended for years. Lightly scented. Use Pernox instead of soap, 1-2 times daily or as physician directs. Wet skin first, apply with fingertips and massage lather into skin for up to one minute. Rinse thoroughly. For external use only. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes.
