I use this light on cloudy days. It seems to help me get the day more easily. It comes in a nice carrying case, which I will be sure to utilize next time I visit my mom in Michigan. It's easy to program, or they even have a model with a simple on/off switch. I sent that one to my mom, who likes it too. I purchased this blue light device just prior to moving to Alaska. The dark days are starting here now and I have felt the depression and dip in mood coming on. I pulled out my blue light and have used if for about a week. I'm AMAZED at the difference. I have energy through the day and my outlook is excited and positive. I love this thing. I swear it makes you feel like you are outside on a beautiful spring day. I have no idea how. It just makes you feel better and more awake. I never remember to use it, but I love it when I do.
Just to note, I don't normally gush over products, but if you have SAD and don't want to deal with drugs, then I highly recommend this.

This light is so effective that I have purchased it for a gift for very close friends and family. We are all pleased with the results and found it to not only to help with seasonal affective disorder but also sleep difficulties. This is perhaps some of the best money I have ever spent. I suffer with mild depression that worsens in the winter. The Apollo Health GoLite was definitely the right answer for me. I am feeling so much better, sleep better at night and feel more energized in the morning. Would highly recommend to anyone who suffers from SAD.
