I had been using the Norelco Cool Skin Advantaage for 4 years when it finally broke. So I got this.
I have an extremely thick beard and have to shave daily. The 5 o'clock shadow happens around 11 AM.
This razor did a great shaving job. It did the neck better than the Advantage. Most importantly, it does shave faster. I can honestly get a good shave within 3 - 5 minutes, the Advantage took 8 - 10, if not longer.
Drawback - it feels flimsy. Especially after the Advantage, this razor feels light and cheap. But it still works great.
All in all, I recommend it.

I live in a nursing home and bought this electric tripple header because my caregiver took my thirty-year old tripple header that still worked great when he quit taking care of me. A nurse's aid broke my new tripple header after she dropped it many times while cleaning the head over a waste basket. The manager wouldn't replace it since it was a little over two years old. I told him it worked fine and would have lasted many years before it broke when dropped. Now I have extra parts if they break this one and I love the great shave I get. I couldn't tell you how it works other than the fact that I love how my husband's face feels after using it. He seems to like it just great. We are firm believers in the Norelco brand. It seems to be very durable. I bought him this one because he had one that was who-knows-how-many years old. It was still working fine, but I thought it would be fun for him to get a new one instead of just buying those replacement heads. That's the one thing I don't appreciate about corded/cordless razors in general is that it costs so much for replacement heads. Overall, what a great product! If you rarely shave or shave often. This is the one to get. It is comfortable, no itching for sensitive skin, and yet very quiet. You can leave several days without shaving and within 1,2 mins you have an absolute clean shave. For long neck hair I normally run the trimmer through first and then use the shaver. I only do this if I did not shave for more than 3,4 days. Washing is easily done, but you have to remove the cover first by pulling it straight out. It save me a lot of time shaving in comparison to other shaver like my old $70 remington which takes 15 mins to shave if you skip shaving several days.Customer Review: Good shaver

Purchased as my travel razor -- I do 100,000+ miles in the air and 60-80 nights/year away from home. Small, holds a charge well, nice protective case. Overall, seems to do nearly as well as the more expensive Norelco I use while home and like my new home razor, is quieter than early versions. Only comment is that the case does not have room for the cord, so I need to remember to take the shaver out between trips to recharge. Directions urge waiting until battery is low before recharging to lengthen battery life -- but that risks a trip where the battery runs down, so I'm ignoring the guidance.
