I recently purchased this item after 4-5 years with my previous Norelco - in fact, I've never used any other brand of electric shaver. The differences are remarkable: 1. It is so much quieter than my previous shaver that it just doesn't seem to be working very hard. 2. Its design allows much closer contact with the skin than my previous shaver. 3. The fact that it can be cleaned after every use with running water from the faucet is its greatest feature for me. I am a very lazy guy, who always had a beard on my face. After buying this, I started shaving very regularly because of its convenience (no soap and water on my face anymore :). Pretty much it gives a close shave. Very little noise and long battery life (once charged fully, no need to charge for next 10 shaves). I did not write this review earlier because, I thought that my interest towards this product will fade away as it happens with all new products that we buy. But after 45 days also, it did not happen. This baby is super quiet and fast!!! the pop up trimmer is great. battery life is even better!!! i charge it about once every 2 or 3 weeks and use it every other day for about 10 mins so imagine that. only problem is spring loaded pop-up trimmer and the rotating head cover... :/ and this DOES NOT simply stop at low battery... it winds down quickly though. cleaning is easy. Gets REALLY close w/e cutting your skin!! not so great near the neck, but then again what is?!?! The first Norelco shaver I had lasted 9 years. The second one I had lasted 10 years. Here I am on my third one. If you expense the cost over the years you are looking at roughly less than $10 per year (maybe replace the blades once or twice ... of course I never did). For a shave this close, reliable, long battery life, stylish - it is a no brainer. Buy this razor. Remember, if you are not use to this type of shaver give it three weeks or so, your face will get used to it. It will save you a BUNCH of time in the morning. 100% recommended.Customer Review: No news is good news...

I bought this for my Dad, who nothing is ever good enough for...especially something that you actually have to pay money for. So, last month I asked him how the new razor was working, and got an "eh, it works ok, I've only been using it for a few weeks now, so, we'll see how it keeps up". Well, it's been a month now and I've had no complaining (it must work pretty good), no questions like "how do you turn this thing on?" (it must be easy to operate), and he has a clean, close shave almost every day I see him. It's a winner in my book!
