I procrastinated and did not change cutter heads for 3 years so I experienced a dramatic increase in the ease and closeness of the shave. Recommend changing heads at least every 2 years. Also recommend using an alcohol-based pre-shave. This gives a closer shave and seems to lubricate the blades. My rechargeable Norelco gives 5 to 6 additional days between charges when I use the pre-shave.Customer Review: In-stock, Prompt & Less Expensive

When I bought my [first] shaver last year I never thought about having trouble getting replacement heads, but what I time I had. I don't know if it was because there are a lot of guys using this model, a lot of folks bought these during the holidays or what, but stores in my area, IF they had a spot on the shelves for it, didn't have it in stock AND wanted up to $10 more than I paid here.Customer Review: It is handy to have these replacement heads on hand

my husband will have the new head on hand when he needs it and not

I purchased a Norelco 9160XL Smart Touch razor about a year or so ago. Bought these replacement heads as the original ones were worn out. Now the razor is working very well and I am back to enjoying my morning shave.
Changing the heads took less than 5 minutes. One thing I would recommend is that you routinely take the heads out (every 45 days or so) and give it a good wash.
