Customer Review: The Modern Way of Cutting and Styling

There are hair clipper manufacturers out there who think that they can impress potential buyers with the amount of parts in a clipper kit. My question is: Why would you want a hair clipper kit with 15, 20 or a million parts, when all you need is three parts? And another question: Why would you want blades that need oiling, when there are blades that work fine without any oil? A third question: Why would you settle for the option of only buzzing your hair, when there are clipper combs that can style much longer hair?
For years, Philips Norelco has made cutting and styling hair so much easier than most other clipper manufacturers. This is my second Philips cordless hair clipper. I used the first one for over five years, and it was in perfect condition when I handed it over to its new owner. I have been even more pleased and impressed with this new one, the QC5055.
The design of Philips clippers is better than anything else I've used for the task of styling and cutting hair, and I have been using hair clippers for over fifteen years. First of all, the QC5055 is very quiet compared to some of the more "traditional" clippers that produce much noise. The clipper is light-weight. The rubberized handle affords a good grip. The smart design makes many different cuts and styles possible with just three different clipper combs, as the combs can be adjusted to several different length settings in just a couple of seconds. No more looking for the perfect comb among fifty different options! The self-sharpening blades also do away with the hassle of having to mess around with oil.
A full charge of the battery in a new clipper will provide power for two or even three full haircuts. Time will tell how much the battery will lose its initial capacity. The important thing to note here is that the clipper can be plugged into a wall outlet at any time. So even if the battery should run low, as long as there is an outlet available, the job can be finished. Using the clipper with the cord plugged in will also provide optimal power for any though cutting conditions.
Cleaning the clipper is easy and handy. The upper half can be detached from the handle and rinsed under running water. The blade itself can also be easily detached for thorough cleaning of the entire machine.
All in all I couldn't ask for anything more from a clipper. Maybe somewhere down the line newer and even better clipper designs will follow. But for know, as far as I know, there is no better way of cutting and styling short and medium-length hair.
