Looked like a great product, but it could only cut 1/8 inches.
I was looking for a shorter cut, more like 000 scale blade on Oster or a short cut remington clipper.
I loved the remington short cut clipper but prefer the option that the Philips Norelco offered, a plug in with cord or battery operated, because the battery life on the remington short cut clipper was terrible.
If Philips Norelco had offered a comb attachment that could cut lower than the 1/8 inch cut, I would have kept it.

I based my purchase of this item on the reviews from other Amazon buyers. Unfortunately, I was led astray from the fact that this clippers is not very good at cutting hair. The features are nice and the length control is slick - but after 45 minutes of chopping away at my hair, I was less than enthused. Finally had to use a scissors to finish the job. I have cut my own hair with three other clippers that have all been old, but I have never encountered a clippers with as little talent as this one.Customer Review: Defective Parts

Mine was not a good one... Granted, we all know that there can be some defective products from the manufacturing process even if perfectly designed. But in my case, the rotating part of the clipper does not fit into the main body of the product, which is a sign of design defect. Immediately returned. Not a good one!Customer Review: No close shave

Gave this as a gift to my son, who has to have his wife shave his head cause he can't reach the whole thing himself. This clipper proved useless to him cause he was unable to get it as close as he likes. He'd discarded the box so I was unable to return it.
