Ok, first i've gotta say this is my first review of a product ever.. But i felt i had to because i did hesitate a lot to buy this product after a lot of mixed reviews, several visits to stores to see the product itself compare it with others and the fact that it's been less reviewed than the Braun Pulsonic which might reflect in less popularity, etc etc.. i decided to take the risk and go again with Norelco, after all if it didn't work for me i have the warranty to return the product.
And now after the first time I used it.. i can tell you that I'm not planning to return anything and keep it for a long time !! My previous razor was a SPECTRA 8890XL wich was doing good but the plastic thing that holds the head was very fragile and broke for the 3rd time so.. i decided to upgrade.. and i'm very pleased with the results it says as with every Norelco razor that you should give 3 weeks of adjustment so the growth of the hair can be adjusted to the new system... so I can't wait to see how will this perform by the 3rd week :D
I know beards are differents and performance might depend on the shape of the face and kind of facial hair, so here it is: I've got a thick black beard with a skinny and curvy jaw IT DID and deliver really good.
All i can say that is a great shaver.. yes the trimmer is almost invisible but nothing that I can't used to, and as a previous review mentioned if you don't care about the digital display and nice extra lights go with a cheaper version... personally i'm kind of unorganized and always on the run so to know exactly how many minutes are left is a must for me, but again if you can live without all those "lights" go for the other models.

I am very pleased with this shaver. I like the stand which is sleek and stylish. The trio- heads bend and conform to the face when I shave. The charger is easy to use and it fully charges within an hour. The charger light indicates the time left ,and it charges up to 65 minutes.
I found the portable case easy to use and it packs well into clothing in my suitcase(portable). It has a very natural and ergonomic handle and is easy to operate.The directions in the booklet were clear,and specified one must give the product time to be most effective for new users..
The directions indicate to rinse heads with water under the faucet at the end of each use. The trimmer is more effective and comfortable to use if you conveniently remove the heads first.Otherwise they block your vision,and trimming accuracy.They remove very easily with a direct pull.
I haven't had a norelco before,and it is a perfect tool to encourage me to shave more often.The head protector easily engages and protects the unit from damage,accidental falls etc.
I have a habit of avoiding shaving,but this makes it easier. This flexible and smooth shaver encourages me to shave daily.
The shaver resembles a praying mantis which also appeals to me. It is Artistic and post modern-a perfect gift for dad, your husband or partner!
Easy to maneuver, aesthetic and slightly eccentric looking!

This Norelco unit is my first electric razor, so I can't provide much feedback on how it compares to others. My initial reaction to the product was that it takes up a much smaller section on my vanity than I expected. The charging station is roughly the same size of the razor itself, so the entire device fits neatly in a corner.
I don't have particularly sensitive skin, and therefore I have virtually no irritation after using the razor for three days. I avoided buying an electric razor for years because people have told me it feels like having each hair pulled out, but that's not the case. It's smooth and comfortable; the buzzing and vibration tickle more than hurt. The only problem I have is not being able to use it in the shower.
I tried to estimate how much I spend annually on disposable blades. I put the figure at 65-80 dollars. So, in 3 to 4 years, the Norelco will pay for itself. $240 does seem like a lot of money, but it's faster, cleaner and more consistent than disposable razors. I also feel like I now get a more professional, "grown up" shave. I equate the switch with the one I made when I went from VCR tapes to DVDs. It just feels like something I should have done long ago.
I'm not going to say I can't wait to shave each morning, but the entire process is more pleasant with my new Norelco.

Let me just say this razor is awesome! After about a week of use I am pleased with its performance. I used it evey day for a week to wonderful success. Then I didn't shave over the weekend. I had no problems when I finally shaved,it was just as close and only took a couple more minutes. Most shaves were about three minutes in duration, this mornings was about five. One of my favorite features is the fact that you can just rinse the razor off,No cleaning solutions to run out of!I have sensitive skin and am prone to breakout.I found this razor to be more gentle than expected with no irritation.I have used electric razors for about 12 years,buying a new one about every 2 years.Norelco has always been a favorite of mine and this razor is no exception.
Is this razor expensive? Yes but it is top quality and I personally am willing to pay (within reason) for a close comfortable shave from a razor that is made to last.I would recommend this to anyone! If I had to pick one thing to change about this razor that would be to make it a wet/dry but other than that it is a fantastic,easy to use razor. Great product Norelco!

I have used essentially every electric shaver made at one time or other. I have always come back to Norelco. I have tried all the newest Norelcos and this one is by far the best. It gives a blade close, extremely fast nonirritating shave and is very easy to use, seeming to fit the hand perfectly for getting to the difficult areas. The design allows more pivot so that one can place the exact angle and amount of pressure needed to any area of the face and the hard to shave areas of the neck and jaw line.
It cleans very easily with the heads popping up to be cleaned under a stream of water. No taking fixtures loose and pulling out cutters and combs. AND the replacement head set is quite reasonably priced at just a few dollars more than other Norelco replacement cutters (see Walmart). Some have thought the trimmer too small or inappropriately placed and designed. BUT, all one has to do is remove the shaving heads (they pull out and replace extremely easily with no injury to the razor and its function in any way) to render the razor the perfect trimmer for all facial hair to include nose and ear hair. When finished, just pop the heads back in place. And it comes with a jewel case that will protect the razor in any circumstance. I'll be with this razor a long while. Hard to imagine a better.
