Customer Reviews of Philips Sonicare Advance 4100 Sonic Power ToothbrushCustomer Review: I tried the one with the Quadrapacer but found no need for it. Summary: 5 StarsA Sonicare is totally worth the price you pay, although I don't feel you don't need anything more than the basic model. I tried the one with the Quadrapacer but found no need for it. When my last Sonicare died and I went for a few weeks using a standard toothbrush (because I was price shopping), my gums got sore! BTW, Amazon had the best deal! I had problem teeth and gums until I purchased my first Sonicare at the suggestion of my dentist. I now get compliments on my teeth when I go in for my 6 month check up. I am on my third Sonicare. They only last about 3-5 years. If you leave them plugged in all of the time they last longer.
Customer Review: I was skeptical until I bought one... Summary: 4 StarsGoing from the standard toothbrush to a Sonicare is heaven. It's amazing...really. I was skeptical until I bought one, and will never ever use another old-fashioned brush again.
This is my 2nd purchase of the same model. My first one lasted about 3 years, and the battery wouldn't hold a charge anymore. Came time to replace it, and I shopped around and spoke with a couple of dental hygenists and my dentist. Everyone recommended either the Sonicare or the Oral-B....and I wasn't ready to shell out $150 for the Oral-B. When choosing between the Sonicare's, the only real difference are the zone timers which I find annoying and the grip/angle. Wasn't worth the extra money to step up to the next model for me....they do the same thing. However, some of the newest Sonicare models do pulse at a higher speed.
Customer Review: The only disadvantage is that this model doesn't prompt you to change brushing zones every 30 seconds like the more expensive ones do... Summary: 3 StarsI've had a sonicare for 5 years and really liked how it worked before it finally died and I was unable to change the battery because it was too hard to pry the handle apart without breaking it so I was forced to buy another one... I bought this one because it's cheaper than the other ones. The only disadvantage is that this model doesn't prompt you to change brushing zones every 30 seconds like the more expensive ones do, which can be a bit annoying if you don't have a clock next to your sink. Otherwise, it does the same job as my older model. It all comes down to if you want that 30-second prompt, paying up to 20 more bucks or not.
Customer Review: Arrived in good time and is doing a great job. Summary: 5 StarsEveryone should have one of these. Arrived in good time and is doing a great job.
Customer Review: Use it 2X a day for best results. Summary: 5 StarsThe 4100 appears to have been discontinued but is still available thorugh Amazon & Wal-Mart. But at Wal-Mart it remains $10.00 higher in price, plus sales tax. This is my 3rd Sonicare 4100. They last 2+ years. But my dental checkups have improved greatly. The vibrating head does wonders in removing plaque. Use it 2X a day for best results. This is well worth the price, and I still find it better than Oral-B.
