I've been using a Sonicare toothbrush for 3 years -- and recently upgraded to the Sonicare Elite 7300. The brush head is smaller and more comfortable to use -- and it gets my teeth as white as they can be. No need for whitening strips and other products if you're using the Sonicare, that's for sure. My dentist says my teeth/gums have never been healthier! Customer Review: I've only used the brush for a couple days but I already love it.

At first I thought that maybe spending $100 on a toothbrush seemed liked a lot, but then I realized that these are my teeth and I want to have them forever. I've only used the brush for a couple days but I already love it. I had a problem with over-brushing before but now with this new Sonicare I can barely feel the brush on my teeth, but my teeth feel really really clean afterwards. The brushheads are a little expensive but if you're only replacing them every 6 months, it's really not that big of a deal.Customer Review: A year later...

Okay, I have to admit it seems expensive, but sometimes you have to pay a premium price to get a premium product.
I've owned a 7800 I purchased at the dentist a year and a half ago. The only problem I have with this toothbrush is that I am additcted to it. I go into a panic if I don't have it with me on a trip. (I travel a lot). My wife thought it a bit expensive when we first bought it, but now (because I travel) we actually bought a SECOND one. Now we both have it full time.
My teeth are whiter, cleaner than ever before. I initially bought the 7800 after getting my teeth cleaned at the dentist. A year later, I was in and out of the hygenist chair in just 15 minutes. They asked me what I was doing different. I said I was using the toothbrush they recommended, the Sonicare.
Oh, one other thing: when I talked to the hygenist about this toothbrush, she said she gets to try them all, and she continues to use the sonicare as her number one choice. I agree completely. GREAT TOOTHBRUSH. Spend the money, you'll be happy you did.
Customer Review: The only thing we had a problem with was my son's brush started to get dirty looking inside so now he separates the brushead after cleaning his teeth instead of leaving it all as one and both the charger and brush stay clean

I bought two Sonicare Elite 7300 toothbrushes - one for my husband and I and the other for my 10yr old son. He was always getting comments at the dentist that his hygiene was bad and he needed to brush more and if I didnt actually stand over him he only brushed for 20 seconds. After 3 months he went back to the dentist and they gave him an excellent report. In fact they could find no problems!! They said his teeth were in fantastic shape and they no longer had that yellow film. Of course we had already noticed that! This brush is terrific. My son even likes to look in the mirror at how white his teeth are now. Plus he uses it till it shuts off after 2 mins
I did have a Sonicare about 10 yrs ago but never really used it cause I couldnt build up to it - the vibrations were too strong but I didnt have any of those problems this time.

If bad teeth run in your family, you are prone to cavities or lax in your dental care, you absolutely need one of these and you will save hundreds of dollars in the long run. You'd be wise to purchase one if your kids are rather lax in their care, eat candy (even if they have to sneak to the neighbors' house to get it) and need to be watched like a hawk to get them to brush regularly.
On the other hand, if you can fall asleep for days on end without brushing and emerge without a cavity or sore gums, you may get by with plain, old-fashioned brushing and flossing, even if you forget a time or two. Perhaps you've got strong teeth. If so, I envy you.
My family, however, needs all the help it can get, with teeth that decay easily, even if we avoid sweets. With the latest research indicating that tooth decay raises one's risk of HEART disease, this item may truly be a lifesaver, not just a way to stave off cavities.
For us, the purchase of this has paid off handsomely in the long run. We now emerge from dental appointments without a long list of cavities in need of fillings and there is no plaque on our teeth (most of the time). It has truly helped a great deal. It does more than we can do ourselves and I say that as someone who flossed and brushed regularly. Even so, I got cavities. After buying this, I haven't had one in ages. I was skeptical. I am skeptical no longer.
Yes, it is pricey, but far less costly than lots of fillings, root canals, bridges, etc. If your parents have dentures and they aren't particularly old, take heed...and get thee to a store NOW and purchase this item.
I'd like to have my original teeth as long as possible. Maybe you feel the same. If so, this is a wise investment.
