My son wanted this so he can be part of the "green team" in our neighborhood. He walks around and uses it to pick up garbage and trash. It is easy to use. The only "problem" is that it has a latch that makes it so the tines don't go all the way together or apart unless the latch is activated. This isn't that big of a deal, but for his six-year old hands it is a little difficult for him to maneuver.
