Customer Review: Not as good as it used to be--

I have used Pik Stik for years . It has been strong enough to use in my garden for many chores. We have a large yard so I automatically take one with me when I leave the house. I bought this version because it said it was the classic. But the first one I got broke when I used it in the yard to pick up pine cones! I came right back into the house and emailed Amazon. Someone answered that day and said I would get a new one. So Amazon was trustworthy and prompt. I now have the replacement. It has not broken but it does not seem as strong as the older Pik Stiks I have used in the past. The mechanism that makes the forks open and close is thinner and has more wobble than the older models. I am disappointed in this one but what would be a good substitute? Pik Stik has been the best of any brand I have tried. Everyone should have one both in the house and outdoors. The older we get, the more we need one.
