The diaper genie is a must have for disposal of smelly diapers. The bags work as they should and contain odors as they should. The one issue I have is that each of the refills only seems to last for a few 'pail-fulls' before needing to be replaced. For the price, I would expect them to last longer or give you more 'bag for your buck'.Customer Review: Are you kidding me? $20?

Really? Seriously? $20? The Diaper Genie Elite II only cost $35 now I have to pay $20 for 3 refills? I would be fine with this, but I have to refill my diaper genie at least once a week. That means I have to pay $7 a week in garbage bags? or $350 a year just to dispose of diapers???
Having a kid is expensive enough! I do not need this extra cost. I am getting rid of this thing and getting a regular 13 gallon stainless steel pail with a lid. That can hold more diapers AND will be cheaper (both for the pail and refills!

As the baby gets older the smell is terrible. This does nothing to help with the smell when you open to pop a dirty one in the smell floats all over the room.
