Playtex gloves such as these are durable and can last a long time, and do a great job of keeping harsh detergents off your hands, so you don't have to medicate your hands with aloe and vitamine E lotion for 3 days after you did a major cleanup of dishes, etc. For that, I am eternally grateful to have this product. And this XL size was indeed much, much bigger than the L size I bought 2 months ago, mistakenly thinking it would fit. I must have looked for XL gloves in half a dozen local stores before I gave up and turned to Amazon for this product, and thankfully it was available. For men like me with large hands, gloves this size make all the difference. Sure, 2XL would be even better, but these are a real relief--at least they can go on my hands without a titanic struggle.
