We have a standard plastic shower head - light, not too thin or too thick, the hose is plastic, etc. I bought this holder for the ease of washing the kids. It installed flawlessly - we did not have any issues described by other reviewers. However, the base of the plastic handle of our shower head was too thick for this holder. In other words, if you look at the picture of this product, and look at how the shower head is attached to this holder - that part of the shower head is too thick, and would not fit. So, even though I like the holder very much, we can't use it and can't return it anymore. I would recommend measuring your existing shower head base and then heading out to the store and measuring this holder - all to make sure one would fit into another one. It took two or three tries to get it to actually stick to the wall. When I finally inserted the shower head, the mechanism to hold it was too small and inflexible. (It's made of hard plastic.) I tried to push the shower head further into it so it would hold, but it just slid back out and fell off. Hubby and I each tried this a number of times; neither of us could get it to stay. We didn't even try to use it with our daughter in the tub because I'm afraid the shower head would have fallen out and hit her. I returned it the next day.Customer Review: Won't hold
