First off, this product was shipped with lightning speed, which was awesome.
Second, the Posey personal pager is fantastic! I take care of my father, who is 81, blind, incontinent, and has Parkinson's Disease. It can be difficult at times to hear him, even with a bell to ring, and I was in a constant state of anxiety over it. I would jump up to check on him every 15 minutes (for months!). Now I can sit and relax, go about my chores, and be assured that if he needs anything it's just a click away!
The lanyard that was included fits comfortably either around his neck, wrapped around the arm of his wheelchair, or hanging off a hook in the bathroom. It's like a portable hospital call button. He's much happier about it as well, as it has one easy button that he can feel easily, and has enough *click* to it that he can tell it has been pressed.
It works up to 100 feet away, according to the package. The pager has a clip that I can clip on to my jeans while I'm outside gardening, and it's worked from even the furthest corner of my yard. The beep is not too harsh either. It can also be set to vibrate, which is the setting we use at night so as to not wake the rest of the house up.
I haven't had it long enough to comment on the longevity, but so far it has been an incredibly useful product.
