I'd recommend it for runner's knee. I used the Cho-Pat, which can be more effective but is not as comfortable. In face, I bought another one for my non-injured knee as a prophylactic on long run days.Customer Review: GREAT PRODUCT, POOR MATERIALS QUALITY

Strap stays in place, does not slip even with heavy sweat. It is worn very comfortably as tubing inside is soft and does its job without hindering full range knee movement, compared to other straps (Nike) that I had to take off when doing machine hamstring lying exercises. Neoprene does not chaff.
REGRETTABLY materials' quality leaves a lot to be desired. After 3rd use, velcro accidentally sticked to side facing knee and created a small hole which I had to sew as it became bigger after subsequent use.
If not for this, 5 star was unobjectionable.
