I have tried numerous inserts in the past, as well as customized orthotics. For the price of $4, this memory foam is very comfortable. This beats foam inserts, gels, heel pads, and other low end shoe inserts for double to triple the cost. For everyday walking and prolonged standing, it holds up well. If you have a medical condition, such as plantar fasciitis, this will obviously not suffice. However, it is thin enough to fit into your shoe with orthotics without undue comfort.
It is worth a try.
