I love the heat on this heating pad. I have one of the older and cheaper heating pads that use a wet pad to give moist heat. Not much fun. This heating pads gives stronger more intense heat without needing a wet pad. My friends all like it that tried it and my daughter and I fight over it. You can actually set the heat to an exact temperature ! No low medium and high settings. The only drawback is the controls are a bit more complicated than regular heating pads, but I do think this is necessary so you don't overdo it and burn yourself. It does turn itself off after a set time (you can reset the time for more,if you aren't done) but you need to unplug it or it will beep every so many minutes to let you know it is still plugged in( it isn't very loud and you won't hear it over other noise). This is the only bothersome detail I don't like. I always keep my heating pad plugged in, but this one I have to unplug or listen to the beeping after it is turned off. I highly recommend this product if you need a heating pad and want a more intense heat or want an exact temperature setting.
