Customer Reviews of RESPeRATE Blood Pressure Lowering Device

Customer Review: RESPeRATE
Summary: 5 Stars

First of all I'd like to say I'm really very pleased with Amazon.com with their prompt response to my complaint that the first Resperate machine that I received wasn't working. They immediately sent a replacement which arrived the next day after my complaint. And I was instructed to have the defective item ready for collection by UPS - at no extra cost to me, not even the shipping & handling of the defective item nor of the replacement item.
As with the replacement Resperate machine itself, it is working perfectly - exactly as described in the manual. I have been using it once a day since it arrived and my blood pressure has shown improvement, from a high of 155/101 to a low of 133/96. I am sure my blood pressure will go to a normal of 120/80 as I continue to use it everyday. I am 63 years of age by the way.

Customer Review: Impressive results on Day 1
Summary: 5 Stars

Just got this today, so this review won't be about the long term results, but rather what happened the first time I used the product. (I'll update after I've used it for 6 weeks).

Anyway, I've been averaging probably 125/85 up to 135/100, depending on my stress level. My doctor has had me tracking my BP for the last month. Before going on medication, I wanted to try this. Tonight, I took my BP before trying it... 125/85. After using Resperate for 15 minutes, I felt very relaxed. Walked back into the living room and sat down, then took my BP and was surprised to see it at 107/75.

I just checked it now, 1.5 hours later and it's 118/82. So, we'll see what the effect is after a few weeks of repeated use. But on Day 1, I'm impressed.

Customer Review: Unexpected benefits!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought the RESPeRATE as a preventative to a slightly elevated BP reading in January. It did exactly what is was supposed to do - it decreased my PB significantly (13 pts) within a few weeks. But the other effect I noticed was a general feeling of well-being and increased positive outlook on life. There is considerable evidence now that mindfulness training has positive temporary and possibly permanent effects on brain function (see http://psyphz.psych.wisc.edu/). Using the RESPeRATE seems to be having this effect for me as well. As a mental health professional, it is critical that my mind and body be in an optimal state so that my patients can achieve a similar state within themselves. Congratulations to InterCure for making such a terrific device.

Customer Review: Starting To See Results!
Summary: 5 Stars

I've been using the RESPeRATE for a little over three weeks now, and I am starting to see some positive results! My blood pressure before using the RESPeRATE was around 150's/100's- now after three weeks of two a day sessions(once in the morning and once in the evening), my pressure is around 130's/70's. To tell the truth, I was having trouble at first with it, and was getting very discouraged, however, like the moderators on the RESPeRATE forum have continued to say, breathing easy and naturally is the key to sucess, something that I was not doing the first few times that I used the RESPeRATE. Now, I am actually enjoying using it, it really makes me feel calm and tranquil after my daily sessions. A Big "thumbs-up" for the RESPeRATE!!! Thanks, JB

Customer Review: No new meds

RESPeRATE Blood Pressure Lowering Machine

I've had this for about 6 weeks now. After using it for a month, I had a scheduled doctor's appt to see how my bp was doing. After reviewing my bp home chart, she decided that I was keeping it under control and did not need another med and could even "play" with my HCTZ to see if I still needed it. I do use the machine 5 days a week. I also could probably lower the bp more by walking every day too. Does it really work or is it snake oil like some people say? I can't say for others, but I'm happy with my numbers now. For 15-20 minutes a day I sit, relax and do nothing but breath.
