Customer Reviews of Rainshow'r Series 3000 Crystal Ball for the BathCustomer Review: Works OK but complicated Summary: 3 Stars
I have a lot of chlorine in my water and found these chlorine balls that seemed like a great idea. The way they desribe them is that you hang it over the spigot so that the water runs through the ball then after your tub is full, swish it around for 2-3 minutes. Well, the instructions say to not let the water run through it and you have to swish it around in your tub for up to 8 minutes. I did this for the first few baths then just didn't want to deal with 8 minutes of my life swishing the ball around. When I did take the time, I did notice a difference in my water but it's just an inconvenience. I have a garden tub so I always think I have to swish a little longer because I have more water than the average tub. It's been sitting on the side of my tub now unused for 3 months.
Customer Review: Better than nothing Summary: 3 Stars
I've been using this product for almost a month and it does help make the water softer and less irritating for my children. You have to swirl it around the water for a while to get the full benefit. My kids like to play in the water while the faucet is on and if I want to use the ball then I have to fill the tub and swirl the ball before they can get in. I do notice that if I don't use the ball according to the directions they get itchy in the tub and want to get out right away. I bought a showerhead filter at the same time as this ball for my bathroom shower and I love it. I plan to buy a showerhead filter for the children as well because I feel it works better than the ball. We have a handheld showerhead in their bathroom as well.
Customer Review: Fairly cheesy plastic ball and pouch Summary: 3 Stars
We use this for my 2 year old son in his small bathtub. I use it faithfully, but I don't know if it is working or not. Assuming it is helping some, then I am somewhat satisfied with the product, which is why I gave it 3 stars. However, the plastic ball has fallen apart into two halves and is pretty useless. So, we use the pouch alone. It is filled with a dry squishy substance, which I know because the pouch doesn't stay closed. But the material inside is contained with another bag. So, I am hoping for a better product to hit the market to filter chlorine from a bath.
Customer Review: Rainshow'r crystal bath ball Summary: 3 Stars
I was excited to finally receive a bath ball to take the chlorine out of the bath water, as my skin gets dry and I love to take a bath. I already have a filter for the shower which works great. However, I found that the bath ball really didn't get rid of the chlorine smell and the dry skin, it didn't seem to work that well for our water in Tucson. I tried soaking it longer and various methods of pulling it through the water. Now I just fill the bath tub with water from the shower head.
Customer Review: crystal ball directions Summary: 3 Stars
The important thing to note about this product is how it
is used. You have to first fill your bath tub, and then
pull the unit back and forth through the water to filter
the water. This may take a few minutes and if you are patient
it may work, if you get impatient or don't want to take the time,
don't bother with buying this product.
