This product is great because the berry is covered with bumps to massage my daughters gums. She also enjoys chewing on the leaves and stem part of the teether. It's durable but soft enough that if the child already has upper and lower teeth they may bite completely through the stem, which then makes it a chocking hazard. So it's definitely for a baby teething and not one who already has a few.
I initially bought it because my daughter had thrush and her doctor said her tongue was probably itchy. She DID like rubbing her tonque on it but couldn't quite fit it into her mouth until she was 3 1/2 months old.
I only wish it came in two sizes (small and large) for babies with smaller mouths.
