This is great floss - just the right amount of wax to ease the glide, but there is good friction/traction with teeth for this to do the trick. Even my wife, who has a permanent retainer behind her teeth, loves this floss. My only complaint is that sometimes the floss gets a little stringy (the single strand falls apart into multiple less-durable strands) when working in between a "trouble spot." It'll actually break when it gets stringy, but that doesn't happen too often. Oh, and a very minor thing: the mint flavor is pretty weak - it could be a little stronger. I had been using the slippery teflon-feeling floss (Ultra-Glide?) for years, but I'm glad my Dentist suggested this Reach waxed floss on day - I'm sold!Customer Review: Not as Minty

I have used several different "Reach" brand floss products. I bought this particular floss 6 pack in an attempt to be economical, but I was disappointed. This particular floss frays easier than a previous floss in the same Reach brand and shape container that I earlier purchased. Regretfully I cannot find the name of that product online (I hope it was a different product...) Admittedly this particular Reach floss is at least stronger and frays less easily than cheap generic store-brand floss.
If I am going to use a thin floss, I want one that is strong and doesn't fray when used in tight spaces between teeth. Otherwise I would prefer non-thin floss varieties. I liked Reach's "Gentle Gum Care" woven floss or "Dentotape". Both seem more effective at getting at stuff stuck between teeth at or slightly below the gum line. (Woven does fray but the extra abrasiveness of the weave makes up for that.) They are both worth the slight extra cost IMHO.
