Had the RediBreeze almost a month now, and I'm glad I bought it and enjoy it enough to use it daily, faithfully. I think it's great. Two thumbs up!
Pros:
* Can adjust the temp of the water on the fly, if your teeth are temperature sensitive
* Can adjust the water pressure as much as you can adjust your faucet
* Very good quality and simple design.
* Simple and quick to install or remove
* On / Off trigger button doesn't stick like my wife's WaterPik button on the wand. There isn't one on this. Just a solid working valve on the part that attaches to the faucet.
Cons (none major in my opinion)
* Can't add mouthwash to the stream like some devices, wish there was an add-on. There may be, but I'm not aware of it.
* Not regulated pressure. If your house water pressure varies, the pressure of the RediBreeze will vary too. If the washing machine is going on or off at the time your are pressure washing your teeth/gums :) you may feel a surprise. It doesn't happen all the time, but it has happened and surprised me. Not the fault of the RediBreeze, I'm just mentioning as a comparison to the other oral irrigation devices that are self-contained and have their own pump. There isn't a regulator built into it, and if it was, of course it would be more expensive. This isn't a real big issue,but I wanted to mention it. I usually have one hand on the RediBreeze valve while I'm using it anyways and can reduce the pressure quickly or turn if off.
* If you have grandkids or a prankster wife, you always have to make sure the valve is in the off position before you turn on your faucet.
* Due to the length of the device the amount of space you have to use your sink for normal hand washing is reduced. I have a 23 yr old plain Delta faucet and can still get my hands under it to wash, but it's tighter now. My sink depth is about 5.5 inches, and before adding the RediBreeze the depth below the faucet spout was about 7 inches. Now depth below the faucet spout is about 4.5 inches. I think I'm using one of the included adapters.
Misc
* It's not a pulse stream like a Pik, but a steady stream, but it works just as well as far as I can tell.
* Some people mentioned it would be nice if the hose were longer, but I'm 5'11" and find that the way I use the device ( with an open mouth ) I wouldn't want to be standing up tall while using it anyways, so the hose length is just about right for me. I generally bend over and rest at least one elbow on the sink or counter while I use it. I brush first, then rinse, and then use the RediBreeze and have been surprised to see little specks of food still get washed out.
* The first time or two that you use it, it may sting a bit if you haven't been using a irrigation device previously, but you quickly get used to it. You may want to start with very low pressure and increase until you are comfortable, as you get used to it after a couple days.
* Breath is better now, and hopefully the next visit to the dentist will show an improvement to my gums. Dr had recommended a irrigation device some time back to help with receding gumlines.
