Customer Review: Don't bother with powered irrigators

It's amazing that things like the water pik can sell when a product like this is available. I've used the OralBreeze irrigator for two years now and I love it as much now as I did when I first got it. No batteries or power cords, no space occupying reservoirs and big bulky appliances, it's the exact answer to every last thing I found stupid and unnecessary about regular irrigators.
Just a faucet adapter, a hose, and the pick is all it is, and the simplicity is beautiful. The range of pressure and power that this thing can output is so large that when I'm not using it for dental care I use it as a mini pressure washer to clean my toothbrush head and tongue scraper.
It takes a few uses to get a feel for what the right amount of pressure to use is, and you have to be careful because if you aren't paying attention when turning it on it could be painful! My only complaint is that the hose can start to slip off of the plastic nozzle that holds the pick if you have the pressure fairly high... watch out that it doesn't slip off completely or your bathroom will get a abrupt spraydown, I just squeeze the hose toward the pick a bit when I use it so that doesn't happen. That and the suction cups aren't really too useful, at least for my sink. I just wrap the hose around the faucet when not using it.
It also gets points for being completely serviceable! Of course you'd probably expect this given how simple it is, but in an age where 'buy a new one' is oftentimes the only solution to a problem, it's always refreshing to see a product that lets you buy replacement parts so you only get what you need.

I've had electric dental jets, both plug-in and rechargeable, and eventually I stopped using both (the former because of the ridiculously small tank size and constant refilling to get the job done, and the latter because of a dead motor). My poor gums were in rough shape, so, pregnant and gagging on my floss (sorry) and desperate, I ordered the RediBreeze. I've owned this irrigator for about a year, and I couldn't be more pleased.
Installation was easy, and no adapters were required. The attachment is solid and well-made, and shows no sign of leakage or tarnish. The lever that switches flow between the irrigator and the faucet operates smoothly.
Of course the tubing isn't attractive, but I'm fortunate in that my husband and I have our own Jack and Jill sinks in a master bath, so I'm the only one who has to really look at it closely. The way our basins are set up, it really isn't practical to mount the tubing with the suction cups; an alternate weighted clip or something might be nice, but I wouldn't consider it a complaint.
I love the fact that I can control the temperature and flow as necessary. And that I can clean as long as I feel the need to without refilling a machine. It's quiet -- peaceful, really -- compared to mechanized grinding. I have a couple of wisdom teeth that really should come out, but, because of babies and mortgages, I've put it off. The RediBreeze is the only way those teeth feel truly clean. My gums are much healthier, and no longer bleed when I floss.
This would be a boon for those with braces!

I have used the portable oral irrigator and the WaterPic that sits on the counter. This Oral Breeze is SOOoooo much better than any other interdental cleaning devices I have tried. I use it more often and longer than any other device because it is so easy and enjoyable. It is just what the name suggests ... it is a breeze to use. I find that I use it more often and for longer time because it is just so easy. It seems very effective. I used to have a sore spot on my gums where food would get trapped under the edge of my crown. Now, my gums are in great condition and feel comfortable.
This spray is more gentle than the pin point pulsing of the water pick. But this is GOOD because it prevents damaging your gums from too strong a stream of water. The spray is plenty enough for a good cleaning.
If there is a big family, then get the one that comes on and off the faucet. If it is just one or two adults, then the one that permanently hooks on is wonderful. Just remember to turn the lever in the off position or you will get a big surprise when you turn on your faucet!
I am a healthy living coach and I will recommending this oral care product for ALL clients. And I already have emailed all my siblings too!
P.S. Yes, it tickles at first. Just close your lips loosely over the wand and keep some water in your mouth. This prevents the spray from tickling the roof of your mouth or cheeks.

This is a must for any one with perio problems. And it is so much easier to use than those clunky electric water pics that sound like cement mixers and move across the sink as you use them. This really is a breeze and very easy to control with very little practice. Some of the other reviews talk about having trouble using the tubing. I find that if you remove the irrigator tip from the hose and turn it 1/8 of an inch and reinsert the tip so that it is in the perfect position the tubing will not twist and you can get a perfect angle. After a time you know how to insert the applicator into the tubing so that it is in the perfect position every time. Getting the tap water temperature to a comfortable level is a little more of a challenge--I have learned how to hold the irrigator with one hand and adjust the faucet with the other hand. Now I can gently increase the water pressure as I use the device and keep the water at a nice warm temp. It makes sense to start at a lower pressure and pass the water through the teeth sideways to remove particles and then gently increase pressure and aim more deeply into the pockets to "exercise" the gums and clean more deeply. Now I cannot imagine not having this device. And it is small enough to pack in a suitcase. I am planning on buying a second one for travel so I don't to remove it from the faucet every time I go on a trip.Customer Review: Reliable and effectif lifetime solution of teeths clearing problem

I use oral irrigators already more than 20 years and I did not suspect at all that there is such simple and effective decision as RediBreeze! It is not necessary to fill any capacities, it always at hand, practically does not take a place and does not disturb. It surpasses any electric irrigator in efficiency and speed of clearing.
Before I had some models from Waterpik and Panasonic. They took a place on a bowl, rustled at use and in some years lost tightness and started to leak. It was necessary to change them for new and all problems repeated.
As the user with the long-term experience I can tell that RediBreeze is not only effective but also technically very successful solution. Jet, which you hold in a hand, is compact, also it is conveniently to direct it to any party. It reliably fastens to hose that excludes water leaks as at Waterpik or Panasonic after some time. The design as a whole is executed very reliably and really calculated on lifetime service. Presently, when many things specially become short-lived that the consumer bought new, to meet the present strong and reliable product is a pleasant unexpectedness on which I did not count at purchase at all.
Sincerely I recommend RediBreeze to all who wishes to get the reliable solution of problems of clearing of the teeths for the rest of the life!
