I do a lot of cooking in a large cast-iron skillet, where I brown meat on the stove top, then put the skillet in the oven. With cast-iron skillets, the handles get extremely hot and this glove is absolutely the best mitt I ever had in transporting hot cooking skillets and trays, to and from my oven.
I have my Reizen glove for over a year and it is standing up very well. Other mitts I have had in the past have become burned, frayed and discolored real quickly. Not this one.
I highly recommend the Reizen mit for any kitchen.
