Customer Review: You Get What You Pay For...

My old Norelco razor fell apart after 10+ years of use, so I picked up this razor the other day and have been using it for about a week.
This is my first cordless razor, which I find to be rather convenient (aside from the initial 24 hour charge-up). You can't use it with the power cord attached, so if you run out of juice, you'll have to wait several hours for it to recharge, which is kind of annoying.
My biggest complaint about this razor: You have to choose between butchering your face to get a close shave or leaving ample stubble behind. I found that it took six to seven passes of the razor to get a reasonably close shave, and every time I've used it in this manner, I've wound up with multiple cuts and razor bumps. If I use a lighter touch and less passes, I have plenty of stubble left on my face.
The instructions say to give it 30 days for your skin to adjust to it, so I'll keep using it a few more weeks until I give up. But at this point, I'm pretty skeptical...
UPDATE:
It's now been just over 2 weeks, and I'm having a little better luck with this razor. It's most problematic on my neck and under my chin and above my upper lip. Sometimes there will be one or two hairs that just will not be cut no matter how many times I go over it with the razor, and I have to switch to the beard trimmer to get the stray hairs (which hurts like heck and leaves a rash). I still say it's nearly impossible to get a close shave without brutalizing your face. That being said, I have been able to get to a point where I leave less stubble behind than I was before. I can't help but feel there are better shavers at comparable prices...
