Customer Review: I have to wiggle and change the direction of the shave...

I was convinced by a very beautiful remington representative name Gabriella who was working in a major department store and preaching and pushing about the benefits of this shaver. Being in an open minded mood and disarmed by the charming eyes and soothing voice it conviced me. This shaver included the SP-5 face saver parafin-based talc stuff for more confortable shaves. The instructions said that you have to wait 3-4 weeks until your skin getts used to electric shaving. Im looking to "shave off" a few minutes of shaving time in the morning. Up to now I feel a lot of superficial whiskers, but no irritation (I have sensitive skin, specially in the neck) but i logically know is that is too soon to my skin to have gotten used to the new process. It certanly shaves well and smooth as promised by Gabriella. Anyhow, being a Schick razor man, I'll review again in a few weeks for a final veredict on the benefits and periles of being convinced by beautiful young promoters, ahem excuse me electric shavers.

My skin has adapted and I can get 98% of my shaving done under 3 minutes, no irritation and no whiskers on the surface. What about the 2%? The neck and adam's apple area. No scientist has devised a way of shaving this area effectevely with an electric razor. This little shaver is no exception. I have to wiggle and change the direction of the shave, pull the skin and deploy the sideburn cutter to get most of the remaining area. If you are careful you can obtain a satisfactory shave in the area with no painful mishaps. I'm thoroughly satisfied with this shaver, for itself, its performance and its price/value ratio.

I am the type of person who needs to shave on a daily basis. When I saw this little gizmo on this site i jumped at the chance and I am glad I did. This razor gives a clean shave and works well with long and short stubble. The only down side is that it may be on the noisy side. But other than that it has been money well spent. I've had 3 different electrics in my life. The last one was a Braun. When the foil broke, it was more practical for me to buy and entirely new razor rather than the replacement foil and blade.
I've read a couple negative reviews on this Remington and I can only picture these people sitting in the bathroom trying to shave their faces using their feet.
This shaver is awesome. The 8500 Rpms make it a quick shave and it's also the closest one I've ever felt.
I've read 3 different complaints about this and I am here to dispel them:
1) It's a tad bit noisy.
-Yes, it's a slightly more present low hum. Who cares? It's not nails on a chalkboard.
2) The side burntrimmer is useless.
-For sideburns it is a bit trickier to use, but it's good for when your stubble gets out of control. The trimmer is position adjacent to the foils. The trimmer first cuts down the stubble which then easily feeds into the razor, thereby circumventing a step in the shaving/trimming process.
3) The low battery light is on almost immediately after charging.
-Yes, that is slightly annoying, but nothing I didn't forget about after using it once.
Good buy.
