I bought this shaver to replace a foil type Remington that I've owned for 15 or so years and still works OK but wanted to try using a rotary shaver. I didn't want a Norelco because the Remington has been so reliable. When I saw this one I thought it was a fabulous value. It does not disappoint and is smoother and quieter than my old recipro model. I like the way it follows your face contours - making for a close fast shave. I've used it for 2-3 weeks since charging it. The top flips open and is easy to clean. The clear plastic cover is the only bad part and is difficult to put on and take off without opening the shaver top, so I leave it off. I think it is great to use overall. My old Remington has now become my travel kit shaver - it deserves to enjoy its retirement.
