I needed new cutter heads for my old shaver (different brand) and while looking for them, I came across the listing for the Remington R-9300 and the price for it was the same as the new heads, so I checked out the features like: corded/cordless operation, LED charge status, quick 1-hour recharge after initial over-night charge, RAVE REVIEWS on outstanding close shave capabilities, etc. and I thought why not give it a go- never had a Remington before. I am very pleased with the superior, smooth shave compared to all other shavers I've used over the years- this is a winner!
Update: I wanted to use this shaver for a month and see how it performed and return to this review with a better idea of the performance because initially, this shaver seemed to good to be to good to be real. Well, it's for REAL alright! Never used such an outstanding cordless shaver before! Gives an amazingly close shave, does not bog down when going through heavy beard- I intentionally let my beard go for a few days to see how it could handle the brush- awesome! All other units I've used all bog-down in heavy beard and need repeat, lighter passes and it snags and hurts- not this brute. It smoothly goes through heavy beard and does not bog-down at all and doesn't come close to snagging and hurting.
When I first set up the shaver for an over-night charge, I didn't get all the instructions and called customer service. Couldn't believe it- I actually got through right away to someone in this country who knew how to answer all my questions and cleared-up some important missing info not in the manual like: after the first initial over-night charge, the window will show 40 minutes and that means a full charge that will last on average for two weeks. Mine has lasted a full month! When it got down to 5 minutes run time left, it abruptly quit because it designed to keep full power until that point- no more slowly winding down! Just put it back on charge and use it corded! Turn it off and it starts recharging and only takes one hour to come back uo the the full 40 minutes!
Just an amazing, high-quality unit for peanuts! I am very impressed!
