The difference between Simply Saline and the other brands is that there are no preservatives which is important as the preservatives reduce the antibiotic effectiveness of saline. Sure, you can make your own saline solution and this isn't the cheapest way to go, but it's simple to use and you're more likely to use it. I use it at least twice a day every day - more when I have a cold or during allergy season.
I have been using this for 7 years now and have had only one sinus infection. Plus, any time I've had a cold, my nose was never so congested that I couldn't breathe. I tell everyone about it - and when they try it, they've never been disappointed.
