I just got this for my boyfriend for Christmas. He loves it. I think it has just about anything you might need, all in one item. If only it had a built-in refridgerator, it would be perfect. The messager is not wimpy (I was afraid it might be). The light is brite for the reader, but not disturbing for anyone else that might be in bed at the same time. The pockets hold a book or two, along with the remote control for the heater and messager. I got this about a month ago and everybody who comes over I make sit in it and EVERYONE, myself included, falls asleep in under 10 minutes when the massager is on. A book light - a massager - a heater - this thing rocks and it isn't that much more than a regular bedrest without any of these features. It's a comfortable backrest. The massaging (vibration) is concentrated in the small of the back. But it does feel nice and certainly relaxes and fits nicely in bed while you're watching tv. It's a product that's just nice to have. Mine was shipped mistakenly without an ac adaptor. The manufacturer (spi) sent me one right away. They're a good company. I would buy other products from this company.

SPI Tranquility Zone Ultimate Relaxation System 7910 is sort of a semi-chair. It's the top rear portion of a comfy chair that's designed to support your back when sitting in bed or on the floor. Providing lumbar support, your lower back muscles are not straining. A small reading light mounted on a flexible neck for precise adjustment is attached to the rest's back. It can all be controlled by a convenient, wired control unit. There's even a side pocket to store papers or a magazine, At around 26 inches wide, 22 inches high, and 16 inches deep (including the arm rests), this soft, supportive seat is just what you need as you pursue relaxation in the Tranquility Zone.Ideal for reading and relaxing while sitting up in bed, this back rest not only provides lumbar support, it delivers a gentle, soothing massage and warms the back muscles with heat. A small reading light mounted on a flexible neck for precise adjustment is attached to the rest's back. Like the heat and massage, the light can be turned off with the attached control unit, which also offers the choice of three massage intensities.
