Customer Review: A fine manual razor -- cheaper by the duo?

This is the Schick Quattro Titanium (four-bladed) razor which, I am told, will accept any Quattro series cartridge ("razor blades"). The razor comes pre-loaded with one blade cartridge and one replacement, which is a good deal: the Number One men's shaving company offers its five-bladed "Fusion" razor with no additonal razor blades, and these multi-blade cartridges are not cheap. The Quattro Titanium could be a tiny bit heavier for me, because I like heft; that's where Gilette's Fusion has them beat, but that's my only objection to the Schick. This razor gives just as good a shave as the competition's, if not better.
Technically, the Schick Quattro does have five blades: four for normal shaving and a fifth, which you access by turning the razor around, is an edge trimmer. I appreciate that feature because, when men get into these multiple blade cartridges from any company, it makes it hard to draw a fine trim line for sideburns. I also use the trim feature to get at my soul patch.
Notice that this is a set of two Quattro Titanium razors for sale, not one. Be assured that these razors are not throwaways or semi-throwaways; they're meant to last and it's only the blades that get changed. Maybe you and a buddy could split the package. Or you could keep one at the gym and one at home. So the competition, in my opinion, doesn't necessarily have the best a shaving man can get. Both companies' replacement cartridges are expensive, although apparently Schick's are slightly less so. And this is quite a good deal if you really need two razors. Happy Shaving!
